Walk-in cooler replacement
Project start: August 9, 2026 · Completion and startup: August 22, 2026
CCS completed the demolition, relocation, replacement, and commissioning of the walk-in cooler serving Island’s Pancake House.
The challenge
Make the installation fit the facility.
Field layout identified a height conflict at the original cooler location. Installation paused before panels were modified, and an owner-approved kitchen location was selected for the replacement enclosure.
The scope
From demolition through commissioning.
Work included removal of the original equipment and enclosure; layout, leveling, continuous base support, and sealing; installation of the AmeriKooler enclosure, BOHN IntelliGen evaporator, and Heatcraft remote condenser; refrigeration piping; controls; and startup checks.
The result
Complete and operational.
The replacement system was commissioned on August 22, 2026. The project report recorded a 36.5°F box temperature during final checks and approximately 38°F at the door display after pull-down. A factory control connection fault identified during startup was corrected before closeout.
